Meditation Center Gallery:
The Dalai Lama in Chicago
April 26, 2012

Members of Tsogyaling Meditation Center attended a talk by the Dalai Lama on non-violence at Loyola University. As part of the morning event, three high school students read their winning essays on the topic and got to ask His Holiness questions. Most recently the recipient of the Templeton Prize given to someone who exemplifies the marriage of science and religion, the Dalai Lama spoke about starting with ourselves in moving toward peace.

Members of our sangha followed the talk by His Holiness the Dalai Lama with lunch and discussion at Heartland Cafe in Rogers Park. "Sangha" is a Sanskrit word for "community" and is one of the Three Jewels in Buddhism.
