Asang (left) and Dorjee present Chicago Public Radio Worldview host Jerome McDonnell (right) with a white silk scarf or kata to show appreciation for his radio piece on Tibet Girls School. To hear the interview, visit WBEZ's web site.

Asang and Colleen

Asang, Executive Director, and Colleen Hubbard, Board Member, were part of the team hosting the Tibet Girls School booth at the Global Activism Expo.

Girls live at the school during their studies.

Tibet Girls School exhibit booth features photos, literature about the school plus Tibetan textiles and symbols. A big hit with attendees was our copy of Our Bodies, Ourselves translated into Tibetan by the Tibetan Nuns Project.

Louise arrives!

Board member Louise Rosenberg (massage therapist at Heartwood) was instrumental in getting us into the expo, putting materials together and joining in all weekend. Here she is arriving at the Friday evening reception where attendees had a chance to meet and mingle.

Asang talking with attendees

Expo attendees were eager to talk with Asang about Tibet, China and our school.

Asang and Adriana

Asang thanks Adriana Gallardo from the Worldview team.
