If There Were Rights

If There Were Rights

There is a bird who files in the sky. I wish that I could fly
like that bird. If I had the freedom to stay or go, then I
would travel the world to share my culture with you.

Kuku bird makes a beautiful sound from the north,
I wish that I could make a beautiful sound, just like a Kuku.
If there was freedom to speak,
And then I would sing my heart song for all the world. But I
cannot.

Our peaceful leader is the Dalia Lama.
I wish that I had a right to see him, but I cannot.
If there was freedom of religion, then I would always pray
for world peace.

In this world, many countries have democracy. I wish
these were my motherlands. If there were political rights,
I would want to create a democratic country like your
country. Until then, I watch the bird fly free in the sky.
