When Lopon Dechen Rinpoche joins us here in the USA he will offer meditation instruction and regular Dharma talks as well as advanced training for the powerful Tibetan Buddhist practices of Medicine Buddha, White Tara, Chod and Phowa. He will also offer puja prayers and blessings for births, marriages, homes and businesses — and most importantly — for the sick and dying. Lopon Dechen Rinpoche's special practice is in working with the very ill and dying and he will be available for the traditional Tibetan death prayers for those who wish them. He will also offer the traditional Refuge and Bodhisattva vows for those who want to formally become Buddhist practitioners.

Charles Kuehner, DC
Charles has a degree in Comparative Religion and Anthropology and has been studying the Buddhadharma since the early 1960's. He has studied with Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, Khandro Rinpoche and various other great teachers.

Assistant Teachers

Current Assistant Teachers are Asang, Nancy Floy and Lissa Pete who have each practiced and studied Buddhism for many years, and some since they were small children.

Asang
Asang comes from the Nangchen region of Eastern Tibet and in the year 2000 made the dangerous escape through the Himalaya Mountains to study at one of the schools run by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. He has been a practicing Buddhist all of his life.

Nancy Floy, MA, LAc, Dipl Ac
Nancy was born and raised in the USA and at a young age was introduced to Chinese Buddhist practices by her Grandmother. She has studied in India and Nepal and is grateful to her current Teacher Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche for all that he continues to teach her.

Lissa Pete, LAc, Dipl Ac, MSOM
Lissa lives in Chicago and is a student of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. She is a member of Chicago Shambhala Meditation Center.

We are most grateful to the precious Dharma teachers who have nourished our hearts and minds, most especially: His Holiness the Dalai Lama, His Holiness Penor Rinpoche, His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, Khenpo Gawang Rinpoche and Lopon Konchog Dechen Rinpoche.
