Spiritual Director Tsogyaling is directed by Lopon Konchog Dechen a Tibetan Buddhist monk. Lopon Dechen was born in Nepal and at the age of 27 traveled to India to study Buddhism under His Holiness Penor Rinpoche at Namdroling, a Buddhist monastic University with nearly 6000 monks and nuns. After 15 years of study and teaching of the Nyingma philosophies and practices, he will soon receive the Khenpo degree which is the equivalent of a PhD in the American educational system. Lopon Konchog Dechen currently resides at his monastery in south India and we look forward to him joining us here soon. With deep respect for his vast knowledge of the Buddhadharma and his kind and gentle manner, we are extremely fortunate to have Lopon Dechen as the Spiritual Director of our Center and as our blessed Teacher.
