Volunteer to Help Tibet Girls School

Tibet Girls School and Tsogyaling Meditation Center of Evanston is looking for volunteers to help with events throughout the year.

Annual fundraising events and parties require help with planning, setting up and running things. We might ask you to pitch in with tasks such as setting up clipboards, staging gifts for our silent auction or even asking businesses and individuals to provide items for the auction. Events may include the following:

• Losar: Tibetan New Year (February)
• Silent Auction (Fall)
• Garage Sale (September 12 and 13; set up September 11)

Help Spread the Word about Tibet Girls School

We attend expos and other types of festivals and events each year to share information about Tibet Girls School and Tsogyaling Meditation Center. You'll meet with members and staff to learn more, then join us at our exhibit booth to engage with attendees about our programs. Some events where we've exhibited include:

• International Buddhism Festival (June)
• Global Activism Expo (April)
• Women's Resource Fair (March)

Supporters and volunteers are also needed to meet and talk with customers at the monthly Eat and Greet Fundraising event at Wild Tree Cafe, 1100 Davis Street, Evanston. On the first Monday of each month, the cafe donates 60% of all proceeds that day to Tibet Girls School.

Additional opportunities to help out through our Tibetan/Chinese Friendship Group and other programs may come up as we grow. Stay tuned or let us know your ideas for helping to spread the word.
